KU introduces a world-class program for post-graduate students in media

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu University (KU) has introduced a new course for post-graduate students to produce quality human resources in the field of media. Dr. Sudhanshu Dahal, Head of the Communication and Language Department of KU, said the university is going to start post-graduation in media studies with innovative courses in order to produce world-class manpower in the media sector. “We have introduced the new course factoring in the current needs of the media market for quality human resources in diverse fields,” said Dahal.   

Associate Professor of the department Dr. Nirmal Mani Adhikari said the university is going to start post-graduate classes to make students proficient in theory, analysis, language, and technology. “Mainly we are producing new graduates in radio, television, newspapers, online, advertising, public relations, movies, government information officer, among others,” said Adhikari.  He also said the university has given priority to increasing the capacity, efficiency, knowledge, and skills of active manpower in the media sector. The university has opened admission for the course for 20 students.
