NEA honors employees, projects, offices

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) honored 15 employees, 17 offices and projects, on the occasion of its 37th anniversary. They were conferred with the awards in recognition of their excellent works during the fiscal year 2021/21. Those awarded on the occasion were Pashupatiraj Gautam, Head of ‘A’ Hydropower Station of Kaligand, Buddhinath Jha of Central Workshop Hetaunda, Deepak Kumar Bhandari of Project Management Directorate, Jairam Acharya of the Community Electrification Department. – Baneshwar-Patan Transmission Line Capacity Enhancement Project Chief Shivram Tamrakar and System Operation Department Prabhat Kumar Pankaj. Similarly, Ashuhang Rai of Biratnagar, Provincial Office of Province-1, Narayan Prasad Neupane of Central Payment Division, Upendra Sivakoti of Executive Director’s Secretariat, Vishnu Pandey of Salyan Distribution Centre, Sikandar Kapar working at Trishuli Hydropower Centre and Dhakkumari Poudel, assistant of Bhaktapur Distribution Center, were also recognized.

The NEA also honored offices and projects which include Chamelia Hydroelectric Power Station, Gandak Hydroelectric Power Station, Soil, Stone and Concrete Laboratory, DadeldhuraDistribution Centre, Chanmadhesh Province Regional Office, Janakpur, Bardghat Distribution Centre, Rukum Distribution Centre, Mirchaiya Distribution Center, Kathmandu Valley Smart Metering Project, 220 kV Kathmandu – The Marsyangdi transmission line project. 

Lamahi-Ghorahi Transmission Line and Substation Extension Project, 220 KV Koshi Corridor Transmission Line (Tumlingtar-Inaruwa Section) Project, 132 KV Solu Corridor Transmission Line Project, General Services Department, Authority’s Simra Distribution Centre, Burtibang-Motipur-Sandhikhark Transmission Line Project were also honored.

Pampa Bhusal, Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, who was also the chief guest of the event, gave away awards and certificates.
