KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat and Vice-president of World Bank South Asia Region, Martin Razor held a telephone conversation to review the effectiveness and implementation of the development assistance. Further discussion on the development policy between the two sides will be held in June.
The World Bank had made a significant investment in global physical infrastructure development in Nepal. Both sides also discussed how World Bank support could be increased and effectively utilized in Nepal.
Minister Mahat expressed readiness to continue cooperation with World Bank to implement infrastructure projects. Similarly, both sides also discussed the implementation of the Upper Arun Project, which is funded by the World Bank.
