CG to introduce Nano Urea in Nepali market

KATHMANDU : Chaudhary Group (CG), Nepal’s largest business entity, has announced a plan to introduce Nano Urea fertilizer to Nepali farmers.

Former Union Minister of Railways of India Prabhu Suresh and Nirwan Chaudhary, Managing Director of the CG, jointly announced the launching of Nano Urea in the Nepali market.

The CG Agro, the farm wing of the CG, will sell and distribute Nano fertilizer in Nepal. This fertilizer is produced by Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO).

The CG has stated that the Nano fertilizers are suitable for increasing agricultural production improving soil quality and preventing environmental pollution.

Nano urea can be sprinkled on corn, pulses, vegetables, tea, sugarcane, fruits, medicinal crops as well as all other crops and plants. This fertilizer is prepared using nanotechnology which is popular in different countries in recent years. CG officials told the press conference that the Nanotechnology-based fertilizers will also reduce the use of traditional chemical fertilizers.

It will provide nitrogen, the main nutrient required for the proper growth and development of plants.  Granular urea is sprinkled on the soil, while liquid  NanoUrea is mixed with water and sprinkled on the leaves of plants.
