DPM Shrestha urged officials to keep track of files

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayan Kaji Shrestha instructed the divisions and departments under the ministry to start the system of Keeping file track record system to expedite the delivery of infrastructure projects.

“To complete work on time, it is important to keep tracking the relevant files. If an employee delays the file by withholding it, he/she should be held solely responsible for the delay of the particular project,” said Shrestha.

“Infrastructure projects or service facilities for common citizens should not be stopped, and the decision regarding any project should also be fast, whether that particular work is doable or not. If the files remain unmoved for a long time, it will have a negative effect on project implementation” Shrestha added.

Shrestha took a briefing with the head of the divisions about the plans of the ministry. Shrestha also assured that he would not put pressure on employees unnecessarily and urged them to work for the nation without fear. On the occasion, the head of the divisions and departments also briefed Shrestha about the progress under their responsibilities.
