KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Rajendra Lingden said that he would move ahead with a strategic plan for the development of energy, water resources, and irrigation sectors.
After taking office on Tuesday, Lingden made a ministerial-level decision to form three working groups under the coordination of the Joint Secretary of the Ministry to make a strategic plan for the planned development of the energy, water resources, and irrigation sectors.
“The plan is needed to develop the energy, water resources, and irrigation Sectors so I have given top priority to them. I decided to make such a plan because the
results will be good only if I can work in a planned manner,” said Lingden.
Lingden also promised to work by identifying priority areas and moving forward based on past work experience.
Stating that taking responsibility for the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation is challenging, Lingden said he will use it as an opportunity to bring in positive changes.
