Upreti’s book ‘Nepal Electricity and Public Concerns’ in the market

KATHMANDU: A book titled ‘Nepal’s Electricity and Public Concerns’ has hit the market after it was released on Thursday.

Authored by Mohan Krishna Upreti, former Deputy Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), has covered diverse aspects of electricity development in Nepal. The book was made public amid a function jointly organized by the Society of Electrical Engineers Nepal (SEEN) and Vidyutkarmi Literary Society.

The book has incorporated wide range of issues such as electricity sources, demand and supplies, electricity policy, alternative sources, climate change impact, green hydro potential, challenges of power plant operation, and among others. Speaking at the program, Upreti said that the book attempted to cover all prominent issues in electricity development in Nepal.

“This book is written based on my 32 years of experience in NEA,” said Upreti.
