KATHMANDU: In the fall of this year, the number of mountaineers who have obtained permission to climb the mountain reached 454 people. A total of 48 groups have taken permission to climb 8 mountains in the autumn season. There are 344 men and 110 women in the groups.
The data provided by the Department of Tourism shows the attraction of climbing Manaslu mountain has been seen among climbers. A total of 394 people have taken permission to climb this 8 thousand 163 meters high mountain. This is 87 percent of the total number of permission takers. Similarly, the number of people who have climbed Saribung (6346 meters) is the lowest. Similarly, 34 people have taken permission for Dhaulagiri (8167 m), 7 people for Himlung Himal (7126 m), and 5 people for Everest (8848.86 m). For Nuptse (7855m) 5 climbers, Kumbhakarna (7710m) 4 climbers, and Ganchenpo (6378m) 4 climbers have taken permission to scale those mountains. A total of Rs 53.2 million has been collected in royalty from the mountaineering permits for those mountains.
